The Bryn Mawr Varsity Badminton Team will be holding their yearly Main Line Doubles tournament event on March 21st 2026. This will be an all-day event located in the Bern Schwartz gymnasium. All who are interested are welcome to register!
This tournament is hosted by the Bryn Mawr Varsity Badminton Team and is a DOUBLES only Round-Robin style tournament. This means that you will play all of the teams in your bracket. You are guaranteed AT LEAST 3 matches!
Details
- Each individual is allowed to register for up to 2 events.
- You are not allowed to register for 2 different levels in the same event.
- For example, you cannot register for MD C and MD A/B, even with different partners.
​Events:
MD, WD, XD for Open Events (A/B, C, ROOKIE levels)
Events with 5 or less pairs in the level will be played only in round-robin style, without the knockout stage, ​and the final rank is determined by the round-robin results
Level Guidelines:
- A/B level = Competitive tournament player/Advanced club or team player with some tournament experiences
- C level = Moderate club or team player; little tournament experience
- ROOKIE level = Novice or Beginner
Rules:
- Due to the size of the tournament, games will not be officiated; play fairly and honestly.
- Show up at least 10 minutes before the start of your first event.
- Players are given 2 minutes after their name has been called before being defaulted.
- Play begins within 3 minutes of stepping on the court.
- Provisionally, a 2 x 21 rally point scoring system will be used for this round-robin tournament.
ALL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER. BOTH PARTNERS must be registered individually in order to play in the tournament.
Fee: $40 for the first event, and $20 for second event (per person)
